As part of my Costume Competitions module, I constructed the 1775-85 Caraco Jacket from costume historian Janet Arnold’s book, Patterns of Fashion 1 1660-1860. The aim of this project was to reconstruct an historical garment accurately using the methods and techniques favoured at that time.
